25-05-2005 Negotiations about environmental permit was held in Karlskoga. The new plant will get a permit for rendering 85 000 tonnes per year. The environmental court will make its decision official on the 24th of August.

 

01-06-2005 Purchasing of equipment has started. Tenders from different suppliers will be received during the summer.

 

22-08-2005 Final date for sending tenders to Konvex AB.

 

24-08-2005 Environmental verdict official.

 

29-09-2005 Interim report that summarises the first half of the project was sent to the Comission.

 

16-11-2005 Construction of the new plant started.

 

09-06-2006 The building of the plant is in its most intensive phase. Start up of the plant is planned to november 2006.

 

11-01-2006 The Biomal plant was officailly opened on November 1st. See Photo gallery.

 

12-13-2006 The Biomal plant is now in full operation and the monotoring of important operation parameters and environmental data will start in January.

 

03-30-2007  The Biomal project is finished. The final report is under production. The Mosserud Biomal plant is now delivering Biomal fuel to four heat and power plants in the south of Sweden, Karlskoga, Uddevalla, Perstorp and Ängelholm. The Mosserud Biomal plant demands only 13 % of the energy compared to an ordinary rendering plant and all emissions are well below the environmental permit.
